Welcome to Windsor Hill Online!
This site serves as a testbed for various online projects for both Anthony Malena and Orbiter Online Internet and Entertainment Service (serving the community since 1994). Those who are helping with various projects, your login will work here just as it does on the other Orbiter sites using the same encrypted directories and permissions.

To the residents of Windsor Hill in Port Orange, Florida...
It has recently come to my attention (November 2008) via minutes from meetings held
throughout the 2008 calendar year, which I personally was never made aware were even
happening, that reference to this website was made in a derogatory manner. Allow me to
set the record straight with truth and facts:
- This website was created by me, Anthony Malena, hosted by me, Anthony Malena, and
paid for by me, Anthony Malena, as my contribution as an active non-member of the board.
- It was created with the full ongoing knowledge and blessing of the board in
existence at the time (discussed at the end of 2002, and the domain purchased by me
and developed beginning in January of 2003 - this is on record using a standard
WHOIS
lookup, as well as record of the development of the site by random archiving at the website
ARCHIVE.ORG).
- I spent the next several years, at random intervals, developing the website. The pages
were fully functional very quickly in 2003, with content (all compiled by me as the
board did not participate in helping as I requested on some occasions). I took pictures,
compiled map data, some basic facts, important phone numbers, and posted all meeting minutes
that were made available.
- For the next several years, I was promised that the domain (www.windsorhillonline.com) would be
included in newsletters, emails and postings to the community bulletin board. I even suggested that
I print the oh-so-hard to create text on a printout to stick in the bulletin board, to no avail.
- Finally, years later, I was approached by someone who claimed to be the new webmaster of Windsor Hill.
This, of course, was completely ridiculous, as they requested access to my web server and my domain
which I had spent time developing - why? Because I missed an annual meeting where a brand new board
was suddenly elected, and they took that opportunity to elect someone as an official webmaster
"board member" (I guess) during one of my rare absences from said meetings. I can't be sure as there has
not been a SINGLE MEETING NOTICE sent to me since the notification of the annual meeting where this
person was nominated - I only found out about the minutes for some meetings when
a fellow member of the community
posted his own website with frustrations about this same community (but you can be sure
I was sent notice of the annual meetings results where they asked for extra money - THAT of course
I got). This domain, combined with a 'polite' call by someone who claims to
'live across the street from me' and to be on the board asking where my past dues were
(to which I sent them along via the previous Treasurer, who said he had no affiliation with
the aboard anymore - the person who called me gave me nothing more than an "across the street" reference,
and I'm not about to start knocking on at least six doors to find out which one is "this guy" who
called me.. I believe his name started with an "A" and an "M", but cannot recall at this time - it obviously
wasn't important enough to give me that information).
- At this time, due to the blatant audacity of the "new board" to think they could simply take
my hard work and years of attempting to bring Windsor Hill online (thank GOD I did not spend the time
setting up community email alerts and webmail access, much less investigate the community-wide
cheap high speed internet solution I also offered), I took down Windsor Hill as a community website
and just made it a "dumb-portal" to back-end projects I host for those who have usernames and passwords
to said projects. I did offer a VERY fair price for the domain and it's content to the person who
contacted me, and was never replied to, hence I assume the offer was rejected. I fully expect to see
some of my work (graphics created by me specifically for this community, content, etc) to now show up
at some future point, as I'm producing a LINK to the original website below -- this WILL be a violation
of my personal copyright on this content, and I'll simply deal with it as needed "if I choose to bother"
when it does happen. ARCHIVE.ORG has record of this content being hosted on my domain over the
years as evidence by a neutral third party, so there will be no argument as far as whether the content
originated by me or not.
I truly believed that a new board with an infusion of new members would mean a good restart to the
community's involvement in it's own affairs, but since I personally, as a member of the community and as
someone who spent his OWN TIME AND MONEY to try and PROMOTE the community, with a board that was already
dead and (frankly) overburdened by NO ONE ELSE WANTING TO HELP (I was asked to be President at one point,
to which I stated I was more effective in the capacity of handling online affairs for the community
given my single-parent situation with my four children and many commitments to local schools, community
and work). I really felt for Mr. Green, Orvis and others who tried to keep things going while at the
same time feeling like they had been STUCK into their positions, but at the same time... my efforts were
wasted. Very unfortunate.
And for the record, here is the
Windsor Hill Online
website as it last existed before I took it offline and reclaimed this domain for my own.
